Meet Tyler + Maren
It all started in 2019 with way too many oranges...
One day, Maren bought too many oranges so Tyler decided that instead of letting them rot on the counter he should make some orange marmalade. Once Maren saw him make it she decided she wanted to try her hand at it as she had never made jam before. Tyler suggested strawberry jam since it was one of his favorites. As soon as he tried it he was hooked! He started asking for raspberry jam, then blueberry jam and so on which then led to all of our amazing options.
When all of the jams started taking over our kitchen, we decided that instead of slowing down, we would share our jam with others at our local farmer’s market and have had a huge demand for our products ever since.
We believe authentic homemade jams should stand out from other options in the market, which is why we choose to make our jams with fresh wholesome fruits, real cane sugar, and at least a spoonful of love per batch. We are fortunate to be a short distance from any number of produce stands, farmers markets and u-pick farms that make southern Utah a treasure trove for all types of fruit. You’ll often find Maren hand-picking the fruit we use throughout the year.
Although we began with the traditional flavors such as strawberry, blueberry, and raspberry, today our customers enjoy over 100 and counting of our different varieties of jams, jellies, & butters. We are known for our exotic fruit spreads, made with fruit that is shipped to us from tropical locations. Some of our unique varieties include flavors such as dragonfruit, lychee, and even soursop, which is often described as a combination of strawberry and apple, but with a little citrus mixed in.
You can find us throughout Southern Utah at farmer's market bringing our extensive variety straight to people with our kids in tote.
No matter your favorite flavor, Thatch Batches is sure to carry it.
