Jackfruit: The Jack of All Fruit

Jackfruit is so good. It is a huge fruit, normally weighing 10-25 lbs each. Also they are covered in small spikes. They are not an easy fruit to handle. However, the flavor is worth the effort. Each seed inside the jackfruit comes inside of it's own sub-fruit, and the fruit is nearly a jerky consistency. With it being such a different consistency for a fruit, it's a common meat substitute at least for its consistency in a lot of vegetarian recipes. Anyways, sorry for all the fun facts, I just think jackfruit are really neat. They taste a lot like honey, and the jam is just amazing. It will enhance any food you put it on!
